Privacy policy

A clear account of the information used to prepare and publish Gospel content, and how to request its removal.

About this service

Gospel of Jesus Automation is operated by the maintainer of the Gospel project. It prepares scripture images and videos and schedules publication to an operator-authorized Instagram professional account using Meta’s official APIs.

The current service is an operator-managed publishing tool. This privacy website does not offer visitor accounts or a public Instagram sign-in form.

Information we handle

  • Connected account information: the Instagram account identifier and access credentials supplied by the account operator. Account information such as a username may be accessed when checking the connection.
  • Publishing content: scripture text, captions, hashtags, images, licensed audio, videos, dates, and publication times supplied for publishing.
  • Operational records: job status, attempt counts, timestamps, error messages, and Meta media/container identifiers needed to track publication.
  • Privacy correspondence: information you choose to provide when contacting the operator about access, correction, or deletion.

The application’s publishing code does not request followers’ private messages, contact lists, passwords, or browsing history. Do not send passwords or access tokens with a privacy request.

How information is used

We use this information to connect the authorized account, create and publish approved media, schedule posts, record results, investigate failures, and respond to privacy requests. Content selected for Instagram publication and the media URLs used for that publication are public.

The service does not sell personal information or use it to build advertising profiles.

Service providers

Meta / Instagram receives the account credentials and publishing requests required by its APIs, along with captions and media URLs. Its handling of data is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare hosts this page, the publishing Workers, media storage, queues, and publication records. GitHub Actions runs media-generation workflows and uploads media using credentials configured by the operator. These providers may process data and technical records in countries other than your own under their own terms and privacy policies.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or to protect the service against misuse.

Storage, security & retention

Deployed access credentials are stored as Cloudflare Worker secrets. Generation credentials are configured separately for GitHub Actions. Local operator configuration may also contain credentials. Access is intended to be limited to authorized maintainers.

Publishing records and source media remain stored until the operator removes them; the current implementation does not automatically expire these records. We retain information while needed to operate the authorized integration, resolve publishing issues, or meet applicable obligations. Privacy requests are reviewed individually, including whether any limited retention is required.

We use access controls and HTTPS, but no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Website visitors

This privacy page does not set application cookies, run analytics scripts, use advertising trackers, or submit forms. Cloudflare may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website.

The service is not directed at children under 13 and does not intentionally solicit personal information from them.

Your choices & data deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information the operator holds about you or your connected account, subject to applicable requirements.

  1. Contact the operator using the contact route below and say you are requesting removal of Gospel of Jesus Automation data.
  2. Identify the connected Instagram account and describe the data involved. The operator may ask you to verify control of the account using a private channel.
  3. Once verified, the operator will review the request, stop the relevant integration where appropriate, and remove eligible stored credentials and records. Any required retention will be explained.

You can also revoke the app’s access through the applicable Meta account, Apps and Websites, or Business Integrations settings. Revoking access does not itself erase the operator’s existing records; request deletion separately.

Removing data from this service does not automatically delete posts already published to Instagram. The account owner can manage those posts directly on Instagram. This page provides deletion instructions, not an automated deletion callback.

Contact & policy updates

Contact the project operator through the Gospel project’s contact issue to request a private channel for a privacy or deletion request. GitHub issues are public: do not include personal details, passwords, or credentials there.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
